Some more advice from Helen and also Angela was to improve my graphics so I have simply taken them into Photoshop I worked with them and tried to make them as effective as possible without being too detailed.
This is just trying to make my simple little graph look quite effective and I think my final product works well.
Also with my Smiley's, I think I have created a more emotional sense to them to really convey what they mean in terms of the interface.
